KIDS CHRISTMAS MUSICAL Wednesday, Dec. 7 & Thursday, Dec. 8, 6:30pm – the Hillside Kids Christmas Players are excited to present this year’s Christmas musical, Sheep in Heavenly Peace. You’re invited to an evening of songs and silliness, all wrapped up in a message about the Good Shepherd Himself. Invite your friends and neighbors! *Note: Wednesday’s performance will also include performances by Hillside Preschoolers and Kindergarteners. The supper on Wednesday will be meatballs and potatoes. Registration is open. Register your family and guests now and have the peace of mind that you’re all set for this fun evening!

FINANCIAL UPDATE Next Sunday, we will begin reporting offering numbers on a monthly basis. The reason for this move is because most giving is done either electronically (which varies on when the amounts are sent and processed by Stripe, SubSplash and ACH withdrawal) or sent through the mail (which varies on when the checks are mailed, delivered and counted) which limits the ability to report giving on a weekly basis. Please contact Dir. of Operations Kara Skogg – kara@hillsidemn.org with any questions.

Weekly Budget: $29,174.23

11/20/22 Actual: $39,761.54 Difference: + $10,587.31

Year-to-Date: Budget: $612,658.83

Actual: $566,342.28 Difference: – $46,316/55

STRIKE FORCE PRAYER TEAM This prayer team is alerted when we sense a need to pray “on site” somewhere in our city (several people gathered before the elections at Bloomington City Hall to pray for the elections). An email will go out with the time and place – and an invitation for you to show up to pray for about a half-hour. If you would like to join this team and receive the alerts, contact Carol Madison, carol@hillsidemn.org.

MEAL TRAIN MINISTRY TEAM Our Meal Train Ministry Team is a group of those willing to bring a meal to a Hillside family or individual in need of one. When a meal need arises a link to a Meal Train schedule will be sent out to the group. If you are able to provide one of the meals – great! If you are unable to help – there is no obligation because there will be other opportunities. If you are interested in joining the team contact Joni Pearson: joni@hillisdemn.org.

HOLIDAY HOPE NIGHT OF OUTREACH This Christmas, we want to reach out to our community with the love of Jesus. With that in mind, we are planning a night of outreach – and we need your help!

DRIVE-THRU FOOD PICK-UP: Friday evening, Dec. 16, we’ll host our first-ever Holiday Hope Drive-Thru Food Pick-Up. We’ll invite our community to drive through and pick up grocery bags assembled with all the ingredients they’ll need to make a holiday meal. We need help starting now, as we begin collecting food donations. We’re asking our Hillside family to bless our community by assembling bags of groceries individually, or with a group. Our goal is to distribute 100 bags. Stop by the ministry counter today to pick up a shopping list and a grocery bag to fill. More information with a link to SignUp Genius to volunteer is available at hillsidemn.org/serve or the ChurchCenter app.

Do you know someone who would be blessed by a bag of food? Anyone in the community is welcome to pick up a bag on Dec. 16, but pre-registration is required at hillsidemn.org/holidayhope. Invitation cards with information about the offer and where to pre-register are available on the ministry counter in the worship center lobby for you to share.

NEIGHBORHOOD CHRISTMAS CAROLING: Along with the food drive thru on Friday, Dec. 16, there will also be the opportunity to join a group to visit nearby neighborhoods to sing Christmas carols and distribute invitations to our Christmas Eve services. Bring the whole family and help us spread some Christmas cheer, along with an invitation to hear the reason for the season! Exact logistics – time, etc, – are TBD, but if you are interested, please click Holiday Hope: Night of Outreach at hillisdemn.org/serve, or the ChurchCenter app and use the link to sign up. We will contact you with more information as soon as it is available.
