TO OUR GUESTS We’re glad you are here today! After the service, please look for our welcome center counter (under the “I am new here” sign in our lobby). Someone there will be happy to answer any questions you have about Hillside. We’d also love for you to fill out a connect card, so you can receive a welcome letter via email with more information.

FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN:

Childcare is provided during the entire worship service for children birth-age 3.

Preschool-aged children go with their parents to the worship service and may leave for Kids Worship when announced.

Children in Kindergarten and up will remain in the worship service with their families during the summer months.

HILLSIDE NEWS

COMMUNION (Gluten-free communion crackers are available.)

Today we celebrate “Communion” – the reenactment of Jesus’ intimate final meal with His disciples before He died on the cross. The bread represents His body, the cup His blood. All are welcome to participate by examining their relationship to Him and surrendering to Him as Lord. Parents discern when their child is ready to participate.BENEVOLENCE OFFERING: On Communion Sunday an offering is taken as you leave the worship service for those in our Hillside family who are experiencing financial difficulties. Please make checks payable to Hillside Church, or text: dollar amount benevolence (for example: “$25 benevolence”) to 84321

CHURCHCENTER – Directory Looking for a church directory? It’s now available on your ChurchCenter app! You received an invitation to join the directory in last Tuesday’s Hillside Weekly. You need to opt in to share your own contact info to be able to use the directory to look up others. You will choose from a list the information that you would like to share. We encourage you to share as much as possible to promote good communication within our Hillside family. It’s a secure site – only those sent an invitation and who have opted in to the directory themselves are able to see any directory information.

Haven’t gotten the app yet?

1. Download the ChurchCenter app from the App Store or GooglePlay.

2. Follow the promptings until you find “Hillside Church” on the menu.

3. Enter your mobile number when it asks for it. If you are already a part of our church family, please use the same number that is already in our system. Enter the code that will be immediately texted to your phone. Since we already have your information, you will automatically be logged in as yourself. If you’re new to Hillside, just follow the promptings to create a new profile.

4. Once you’re logged in, you’ll need to add a profile picture. Click “My profile,” then click the 3 lines in the upper right-hand corner. Add a profile picture.

Website: hillsidemn.churchcenter.com is available for all, especially if you do not have a smart phone for the app. Need help? Contact the church office during the week: 952-831-5050.

BAPTISM If you have not been baptized, Sunday, Aug. 7 will be a great opportunity to take that next step of faith. First, we’ll worship together at Hillside at our usual time – 10:00am, either live inside the worship center, or live-stream on the lawn (don’t forget to bring a lawn chair or blanket). After the service we’ll head over to Bush Lake for baptisms. Everyone is invited! We will begin at 11:45am, at shelter #3 where we’ll hear faith stories from those being baptized – then we’ll walk down to the beach. Finally, we’ll go back to shelter #3 and the shaded grounds surrounding it to enjoy picnic lunches (bring your own). There is a playground and volleyball area, as well as plenty of shaded grassy places to relax and fellowship. It will be a wonderful way to spend a summer Sunday afternoon, so save the date! If you’re interested in being baptized indicate your interest on a Connect Card (QR code on inside page of this bulletin).

HILLSIDE GO!Dads & daughters: Come join us for the annual summer camp out at the Sumac Knoll Group Campsite in Bloomington!
