Hillside Church is people of all ages, economic levels, and backgrounds who love Jesus. We like to say we are "friends of God, friends of each other."
We want to be a house of prayer for all people who are reconciled to God and to each other, living as fully devoted followers of Christ.
We will achieve our mission by pursuing God in everything, befriending, supporting, and equipping each other, and unleashing people to extend
Christ’s Kingdom through our community and world.
Engagement At Hillside
As fully devoted followers of Christ, we believe in prioritizing involvement in five key areas: Corporate Worship, Personal Devotions, Small Groups, Ministry Teams, and Generous Giving.
Hillside Church was founded in 1952 as a church plant of Wooddale Baptist Church of Richfield, MN—now Wooddale Church, Eden Prairie, MN. We settled on our present campus in 1969. In 1962, we planted Berean Baptist Church in Burnsville, MN, and in 1978, our people helped plant Friendship Church in Prior Lake. Hillside Church began its partnership with Bethany Academy (now United Christian Academy) , a K-12 Christian school that meets on our campus, in 1995.
Become A Member
A membership class called The Hillside Story offers an opportunity to find out more about Hillside Church and what it means to become a member. If, after attending the class, a person expresses a desire to join, he or she will then meet with two elders to share his or her testimony of faith in Jesus. If a person has not yet been baptized by immersion (a requirement for membership), a date for baptism is scheduled. Prospective members are then welcomed at a worship service. The Hillside Story is offered periodically; please stay tuned to the bulletin or to our Adult Education page to learn when it will be offered next.
