FREE MINISTRY RESOURCESThere are free books and other ministry resources available on the white table in front of the Prayer First slatwall (by the gym lobby) today. Check them out and take whatever looks helpful to you!PRAYER FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM

We are instructed in Psalm 122:6 to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, so that those who love God are secure and will prosper. Israel continues to be a place of conflict and turmoil on our world scene. We will come alongside the people of this nation and pray for God’s purposes on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 – 8:55am in the library. Let’s pray for peace!

CHILD DEDICATION: A child dedication will be offered during both worship services on Sunday, Oct. 16. If your family would like to participate, register on the ChurchCenter app, or hillsidemn.churchcenter.com.

FALLFEST: Wednesday, Oct. 12, join us for an evening of fall FUN for your family and friends! From 6:30 – 8:00pm you can enjoy live music, a bon fire, crafts, games and more! Our Wednesday night supper will be chili and will have an extended serving time (5:30 – 7pm). Register as usual for the supper, guests eat free. (If you know you are bringing a guest, it would be helpful for the kitchen team to add them to the count. Use the discount code when registering a guest.)HILLSIDE FAMILY: We need YOU! Volunteer opportunities are posted at hillsidemn.org/fallfest.

BAPTISM: Baptism will be offered during both worship services on Oct. 9. Sign up on the ChurchCenter app, or hillsidemn.churchcenter.com to set up a time to talk with a pastor if you feel led to participate. Baptism is a requirement for membership.

TOGETHER FOR GOOD Hillside is excited to begin a partnership with Together for Good – a ministry that comes alongside vulnerable children and isolated parents in times of need by providing respite care, supporting host families who are caring for children, mentoring, and more. The greatest need is for host families: those who are willing to provide respite care to struggling families by hosting children in your own home, usually for a night or two at a time. If you are interested in becoming an approved host family, this is a great time to do so. Hillside is hosting a Together for Good training session on Oct. 10, 6:30 – 9:00pm, in the library, led by Together for Good staff, and is a requirement to become an approved host family. If you’re not able to be a host family at this time, you can help by providing support with practical needs of families hosting children. The current need is so great – please prayerfully consider how you can get involved. Complete the interest form found at hillsidemn.org/events and we’ll respond with more information and next steps.

BABY & ME CLASS Beginning Wednesday, Oct. 5, Baby & Me is a six-week class for parents and their babies (birth to age 1) to attend together. The class is designed to facilitate and promote parent-baby relationships, provide developmental information and discover each baby’s unique personality, preference, and needs. Led by Sandi Putnam, the class meets in room 135 in the children’s wing from 6:30pm – 8:00pm. Register at hillsidemn.org/wednesdayconnect.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY Ladies, you are invited to Wondrous Things – a Psalm 119 Study that begins Monday, Oct. 3. In this seven-week study we will see the glory of God’s Word, be encouraged and challenged to know and obey it, and explore its connection to God’s character. “Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of your law” (Psalm 119:18). The study is led by Traci Richard and meets in the library from 6:30-8pm.

THE GOSPEL PROJECT The Gospel Project is a chronological Bible study that examines how ALL Scripture gives testimony to Jesus and God’s plan of redemption! Each lesson stands on its own – join us at any time. Led by Dave Kurschner, the class meets Sundays, 9:15am, in room 156.

GRIEFSHARE: If you have lost a loved one it may be hard for you to feel optimistic about the future. A GriefShare group can help you face the challenges before you with others who understand your pain. Beginning Thursday, Sept. 29, a GriefShare group will meet weekly for 13 weeks in the library at 6:30pm. Join us as you are able – each session is self-contained, so you do not have to attend in sequence. For information contact Jim Meredyk: jvm4ephesians6@gmail.com.
