NIKKI WALLACE   -

Welcome to our “Meet the Staff” column, where we’ll get to know each of Hillside’s staff members a little better, “Q & A” style!

Name:

Becca Patenaude

What is your job title?

Wednesday Night Kids Ministry Leader

What are your job responsibilities?

I coordinate all Wednesday night programs for birth-6th grade. I do a little bit of teaching, but mostly support all of volunteers.

How long have you worked at Hillside?

Two months.

Tell us a little bit about your background:

I grew up in Colorado and Minnesota, always rural. Eric and I have lived in Richfield/Bloomington since getting married in 2002. I taught high school Spanish for five years before staying home with my kids, but I continued to dabble in education on the side. I currently work part time at Hillside and Richfield Dual Language School.

What are some favorite parts about your job and/or working at Hillside in general?

I like that this job helps me know and invest in Hillside families more. I also love the opportunity to meet people who are checking out Hillside for the first time!

Name a favorite passage of Scripture or book of the Bible, and why you like it.

The Psalms are my favorite because they help me calm my mind and soul.

What are some of your hobbies?

I enjoy hiking, mountain biking, camping, traveling, gardening, reading and watching soccer.

What are a few of your favorite things these days?

A new favorite band is The Arcadian Wild. A podcast I’d recommend is Raising Worry Free Girls by Sissy Goff.

Household/family info?

I’m married to Eric, and we have four daughters (age 11-18) and one toddler son.

What city (or general area of the Twin Cities) do you live in?

Bloomington.
